Today was our Second Time riding down Pipeline Trail in Mill Creek Canyon. This time we had Garrett, Braiden, Austin, and Me riding down.
Garrett decided to get all bruised up before we even started riding the trail. We were getting the bikes ready at his house and garrett was holding one bike while riding on another and he had a genius idea to hit the brakes while holding on to the bike with one hand. Here are the results!
Around noon we all threw our bikes in the back of Austin's truck and headed out. We Parked my car at the bottom of the hill and rode up the road to the trail with Austin's truck. While riding down the trail we passed a fork that split off and we took the wrong turn. We rode about an extra mile and found an awesome view of the city behind the canyon. There were too bikers resting there and We asked them to take our picture.
They told us that it was officially the end of pipeline trail and we had to turn back and take the other trail to start going down the mountain so thats exactly what we did. The last half mile of the trail is the roughest and funnest. There are jagged rocks everywhere that you have to dodge or jump and hope you make a smooth landing and it gets real steep some places so its a great challenge.
Here are the results of our trail

After biking down the trail and getting to my car at the bottom of the road, I realized my keys were in Austin's car which was 6 miles UPHILL from where we were. Austin and I started walking up the road sticking our thumbs out hoping someone would give us a ride which was bad karma because we passed up hitchhikers on the way up and didn't give them a ride. We had about thirty cars pass us and we walked about a mile up. By this time We were dieing of thirst so we walked down to the river and got ourselves a BIG Gulp. We walked back up and started the same old routine when finally a very nice couple stopped to give us a ride. They told us they had just moved to utah and asked about the canyon so I told them what I knew about the trails while they drove us up 5 miles to our truck.
When we finally got to our truck we started driving down the canyon and saw Braiden riding his bike up the hill. He saw us and I figured he would turn around and head down but we ended up waiting about 45 minutes at the bottom of the road for him with no luck of him showing. We decided to drive back up the hill to find him. By the time we got to him, he had rode his bike 6 miles up hill with a 570 foot ascent! Garrett and I were baffled because we had such a rough time riding 2 miles with a 670 foot ascent.
